The student services committee is responsible for the design, creation, and operation of DSG's various student services excluding line monitoring. This year we hope to add to the services that DSG offers and institutionalize other services so that we will have space to incubate our new projects. Our products will vary from software to physical papers; thus it is essential that we have a diverse committee in terms of skills and backgrounds in order to provide effective services which enhance the gross domestic happiness of Duke undergraduate students. Services we are involved in:

Student Readership program:

• Distributes the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and the Herald Sun across campus.

Daily News to E-Print:

• Working with DukePass to try to have a daily news report printed to e-print automatically each morning

Information Commons:

• Provides a means for students to access their information across campus from a multitude of access points such as cluster computers or a PDA

Blackboard's Future:

• Working to get student involement on the panel to decide the future of Blackboard. Currently would like to see an OpenCourseWare module built in to the system.
