The Duke Student Government is charged to "define and represent student causes and concerns to the administration," but that role is not unique to our organization or our members; acting on behalf of student interests is not and should not be the exclusive territory of DSG or other student governance organizations. For that reason, this this section is designed to provide students with information so that they can understand our institution, know who influences what, and work for change in their own way. At the very least, as Duke students, we should understand as much as we can about our University and how it functions.
